ABOUT PAID VACATION

PAID VACATION represents contemporary tailoring - translating the values of classical bespoke tailoring into modern casual garments.

The brand was founded in 2017 by tailor and clothing engineer Juliet Seger to support her studies (and literally pay for a vacation…;). Since then, it has become a showcase not just for fashion, but also for tailoring method and design research. The future goal is to continue expanding PAID VACATION into a space for unique garment design, as well as for practical approaches to fashion via sewing and manufacturing education.

“I love how fashion combines the technical parameters of tailoring (body shapes, fabric properties, machines, …) with art, desire and dreams. As a tailor and clothing engineer, I have an interest not only in the aesthetic outcome – the look of the finished garment – but also in the fabrication process itself: the making of the garment."

All items are made-to-order in Berlin. The materials are sourced to be as ethical and functional as possible – composed of dead-stock material, organic or recycled textiles, and fabric and haberdashery from small local businesses.
